Dental assisting is a growing field in the allied health industry. Dental assistants are essential for the smooth operation of a dental clinic or office. They must possess the ability to multitask, yet concentrate when necessary, think on their feet, have good manual dexterity and communication skills.

If you think you have what it takes to run a busy front office, assist the dentist with clinical procedures, take x-rays and various other tasks while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor, then a career as a dental assistant may be just right for you.

In less than a year you could be taking advantage of one of the hottest careers around. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts an excellent job outlook for dental assistants to 2016, calling the field one of the fastest growing careers today. More dentists are looking to dental assistants to handle various and growing responsibilities, so training is becoming vital for success in this field.
